How to Replace the Battery

• With detector OFF, use No. 1 Phillips screwdriver to remove 4 screws from back enclosure (B)
• Lift back enclosure (B) straight up
• Lift battery (C) straight up
• Insert new battery (C)
• Replace back enclosure (B)
• Replace 4 screws in back enclosure (B) and hand-tighten until firm

How to Replace the Sensor

• With detector OFF, use No. 1 Phillips screwdriver to remove 4 screws from back enclosure (B)
• Lift back enclosure (B) straight up
• Use No. 1 Phillips screwdriver to remove 2 screws from the back of the PCB (D)
• Lift PCB (D) together with battery (C) and sensor (E) straight up
• Remove sensor (E) from PCB (D) by pulling straight up
• Insert new sensor (E) into PCB (D)
• Replace PCB (D) and 2 screws and hand-tighten until firm
• Replace back enclosure (B)
• Replace 4 screws in back enclosure (B) and hand-tighten until firm

Hydrogen sulphide (H2S) can be detected using the GasAlert Extreme single gas detector.  This monitor is from BW Technologies and can be used in a variety of applications.  This particular version comes in a vivid yellow casing.

The GasAlert Extreme can be used in many different applications.  You can be confident that the monitor will provide you with the protection you need through its durable sensor and in-built, concussion-proof boot.  Its ability to be resistant to water also adds to the robustness of the instrument.
